Molly Mayne (Year 8)

Molly was selected to swim at the Irish age group championships and summer open 2017. This is a great achievement in itself. However, Molly went one better than that. She entered 4 races in total and made it to the final for every race. She then went on to win silver medals for 100 and 200 breast. Huge congratulations to Molly and we look forward to following her progress this year.
Emily Garbutt (Y8) |
Emily has had a very busy summer. She traveled to South Africa to pursue her passion for climbing.
The first event was the Top Rope competition where Emily competed in the 'Open Age' group & took 2nd place. The 2nd competition was the Ladies Bouldering competition where Emily competed in the U18 category against South Africa's bouldering team & took 2nd place also. Well done Emily! |

Jasmine Reynolds
Huge congratulations to Jasmine who came first in the 5km race at Meydan Supersport on 13th October. Jasmine is in Year 9 and was competing in the U19 age group.
This is a series of races so Jasmine is hoping to repeat her success at the next race in November.

Elodie Galvin (Year 4)
Swam in the Hamilton’s swim gala on Friday. She did really well
and got three medals, which out of 16-18 girls is great. We are proud
of her for trying all four strokes as well. She got 5th place in freestyle
and breaststroke and 6th in back.

Sam Garbutt
Well done to Sam and his 'Ghost' Racing Team who worked brilliantly together to take 1st place in the 'Nomad' category & 1st place overall at the Emirates Schools Karting Championships.
Jack Drew

Jack has been training hard with the Starfish Triathlon Club and took part in the Supersprint race at the weekend. He was the only 10 year old competing in the event and had to race against boys and men a lot older than him. We're looking forward to hearing how Jack gets on at the next events.
Kyle Bouwer
Kyle entered for the Super Sport Mina Mile open water swimming event that was held on the 11th November at Barasti Beach, and had some great results.
He won the 1600m overall, the 800m overall and was placed 2nd in the 400m overall races. What an amazing achievement, well done Kyle!

Sam Garbutt ( Year 10) ESKC Karting Competition

Thomas Jennings (Year 9)
He's only gone and won another trophy! This time 1st place in the Under 17 age group at TriYas Triathlon over the weekend. Huge congratulations to Thomas!
Emily Garbutt (Y8)
Well done to Emily Garbutt who won the 'Junior' category (U18) & also achieved 3rd place in the 'Open Age' group at the 1st ever professional climbing competition in the U.A.E, which was at Paris-Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi on Feb 16th.
Emily's next competition is in the UK in March and we can't wait to hear how she gets on.

Sean McNicholl
Sean attended the Irish Open Swimming Championships in early April and had a fabulous week of racing, achieving PB's in every event. He won silver medals in the men's 50 backstroke and 50 fly and a bronze medal for the men's 100m backstroke. On top of this Sean broke the Irish Junior Record for the 50 fly with a time of 24.71. What an amazing achievement, well done Sean!

Molly is going from strength to strength in her swimming. She attended a large Swim Meet in Portsmouth, England, over the holidays and achieved PB's in all 5 of her races. In addition to this, Molly won 5 gold medals in her age group, and 1 gold and 2 silver in the U14 finals. This is an amazing achievement and we are all super proud of Molly!
Thomas Jennings
Well done to Thomas Jennings on his achievements in the Duathalon Series. Thomas won the final race of the season at the weekend. In doing so, he also won the overall Series and a new bike. Way to go Thomas!
